FTSE flat as BP records Q4 loss

The FTSE 100 was flat this morning as extreme weather conditions continued to plague the capital and affected many transport links.

The index was up 1.76 points (0.04%) this morning at 8.30am to reach 4079.54 points. Vodafone Group has been the market's largest gainer so far, up 4.8 points (3.75%) with its shares worth £1.32. It comes as Vodafone increased its guidance ranges for the year to March to reflect the positive foreign exchange environment. Its adjusted operating profit is expected to be in the range of £11.5bn-£12bn, an increase of £0.5bn, while revenue outlook has been raised to £40.6bn-£41.5bn compared to £38.8bn-£39.7bn previously.
