IFA consolidation platform launched

A company designed to assist IFAs considering buying another practice or selling up has been launched in response to "growing" M&A activity.

IFA Marketplace, launched by adviser services provider threesixty, offers introductions for merger and sale plus a range of legal, tax and accountancy services through approved partners. It has been launched in response to increased consolidation in the sector, threesixty says, adding it predicts around 30% of firms will be acquired or merged by 2013. "While it is no indication of the quality of their advice, external factors such as increasing costs in a difficult market are already starting to create pressure for smaller IFA firms," David Brattesani, IFA Marketplace director, says. ...
