Insight MD takes top Swip role

Insight managing director Abdallah Nauphal has taken overall responsibility for the running of Scottish Widows Investment Partnership's business.

Swip MD Dean Buckley will retain his title but answer to Nauphal who has been instructed to develop an understanding of both businesses and given a mandate to grow them. Lloyds group, which owns both businesses, refused to comment on how this affects future plans for running both asset management wings, or discuss Nauphal's specific growth targets. Lloyds spokesman Ross Keany says: "I think it is fair to say that this is part of a long term look at both asset management businesses.
