£7.5m unclaimed from Scot Life demutualisation

Scottish Life is making a final plea for former members to come forward and claim around £7.5m of payments resulting from its demutualisation in 2001.

It says this is the final chance for members with an eligible policy at the time of the demutualisation to come forward and claim a potential £500 for loss of membership, as in accordance with the scheme rules all compensation payments must be finalised by 1 July 2007. Scottish Life says there are currently around 15,000 former members of Scottish Life who are still eligible for payments, representing a total amount of unclaimed payments of approximately £7.5m, and it has set up a special web-based service to deal with enquiries and which also lists the policies which are eligible for com...
