Lincoln to launch online tool for third-way pension

Lincoln Financial Group will launch an online illustration tool for its third-way pension product next month.

Advisers can use the tool with clients to help explain how the third-way product, Lincoln i2Live, launched in May 2007, would affect their retirement income. The product combines an annuity and the stock market investment opportunity offered by income drawdown. Advisers can access the tool, available for free on the group’s website, from March 14. It requires the IFA to type in the customer’s personal details and fund size before answering questions to produce a quote, which Lincoln will save for subsequent client visits.
