SLI renames Growth & Income as Alpha fund

Standard Life Investments(SLI) will relaunch its £59m Growth & Income fund as the UK Equity High Alpha fund on October 15.

The decision to rename the fund was taken to more accurately reflect the focus of the fund which is to maximise returns for investors. It will continue to invest in a diverse range of UK equities, will hold between 70-110 stocks and will sit within the IMA UK ALL Companies sector. Edward Legget, who has managed the fund since October 2006, will still run the portfolio.
