SWIP appoints MM sales director for new launches

Scottish Widows Investment Partnership (SWIP) has appointed Bernard Henshall as multi-manager sales director to develop the firm's new fund of funds business.

Henshall joins from Winterthur Life where he was head of investment distribution for seven years. He will work from SWIP’s London office and report to Simon Wombwell, head of distribution. Wombell says the appointment precedes SWIP’s first UK fund of funds launch early next year when it will open a diversified assets fund and a managed equity fund. SWIP established its fund of funds team in September when it appointed Mark Harries as head of multi-manager and Simon Wood, Lyndon Gill, Natalie Burnand and Andrew Perham as investment directors.
