Derbyshire Independent Financial Services under review

The future of Derbyshire Independent Financial Services (IFS) is uncertain following the news Nationwide is to merge with Derbyshire Building Society.

The deal means Derbyshire IFS, a wholly owned subsidiary of Derbyshire Building Society, will be placed under review with a decision to be announced by the time the merger is expected to conclude on 1 December. Advisers working for IFS, which offers whole of market advice, currently advise on a range of issues including retirement planning, investments, IHT, protection and equity release.
