Search for 'Isa' IFAs hits record levels

There was a significant leap in consumer requests for the details of independent financial advisers advising on Isa investments in the first quarter of this year, according to figures just released by IFA Promotion.

In contrast to the actual evidence of consumers putting new money into Isas earlier this year, data compiled through IFAP’s Unbiased.co.uk Find an IFA search service reveals requests for information about IFAs doing Isa, Oeic and unit trust business rose almost 9% compared with the same period in 2006, from 15,000 to almost 16,300. The total number of requests for information about IFAs between January and March 2007 reached just under 15,000 enquiries through IFAP’s range of web tools, accessible either directly through unbiased.co.uk or its white-label arrangements with financial service...
