Advisers back exams for paraplanners

Acquisitive IFA Bradbury Hamilton is backing moves to introduce qualifications for paraplanners.

Managing director Sheriar Bradbury says paraplanners, whose chief task is to research the market on behalf of advisers, are a "key part" of his business and should be used more widely by UK IFAs. The Financial Services Skills Council (FSSC) has announced a consultation to establish whether the industry requires qualifications in paraplanning and, if so, what they should include.
