Duffield denies exit rumours

New Star chairman and founder John Duffield has categorically denied reports he is set to resign from the troubled fund manager.

Following a board meeting this morning, New Star confirmed Duffield will remain at the firm to see it through the transition to a privately-owned company. A spokesman told IFAonline there was no truth in the rumours circulating the City over the past 24 hours." John Duffield will remain here. He has not resigned, it's not something that is going to happen in the near future," he says. "He says he is absolutely committed to seeing the business through its restructure." IFAonline
