Helm Godfrey defiant in face of 34% profits slump

National IFA Helm Godfrey says its "client centric" approach is helping it withstand the credit crunch despite posting a 34% drop in first-half pre-tax profits.

The company made £335,000 in the first six months of 2008, it says, down from £507,000 in the same period in 2007 and a marginal drop of 3% on the equivalent six months in 2006. Helm Godfrey also reports a turnover of £3.1m to 30 June this year, 16% down from the £3.7m figure in 2007 but 11% up from turnover in H1 2006.
