Laing to run pan-Euro team at Aberdeen AM

Aberdeen Asset Management has appointed James Laing as head of pan-European equities.

Laing, who will report to head of equities Hugh Young and be supported by a 20-strong team, is currently a senior investment manager at the company. He will replace Chou Chong, head of the team for the past five years, who has relocated to Singapore to work with the Asia Pacific regional team. Hugh Young says: “James is the ideal person to succeed Chou given his experience, expertise and the high regard in which he is held by the team and Aberdeen. “Chou has established a dynamic Pan-European equity team built on solid foundations which is extremely well placed for the future.” Contact:...
