Scottish Widows has decided to remove a number of funds from its life and pensions fund range after a review of its external fund links.
The firm also announced it is to add 23 new funds to the range from a number of different providers. Scottish Widows removed funds from Aberdeen, Gartmore, Société Générale, Threadneedle and UBS as it felt other funds were in a better position to provide for its customers, following a review in 2007. The funds will not accept new business from 28 April 2008 through Scottish Widows and policyholders will be given a free transfer to other funds within the platform range.
