Providers warned 'cut out the jargon'

The financial services sector must drastically change its customer service approach, according to research by global data company TNS Finance.

A total of 80% of people surveyed say the financial services industry must cut out investment product jargon and make these easier to understand. The results come a day after research from Abbey found one in ten adults would score less than 40% in a simple personal finance exam. The TNS study shows more than 75% believe more people would invest successfully if they received more financial education.
