'Tcf does not mean equal treatment'

Treating customers fairly does not mean treating customers equally because not all individual needs are the same, says the Financial Services Authority.

Speaking at Prudential’s latest industry forum, Jackie Doyle-Price, a member of the FSA’s Tcf central team, says Tcf is about treating each customer appropriately and responding to their needs, which does not mean treating customers equally. She states: “Not all customers are the same and not all their needs are the same.
