Burns-Anderson chief excited by £14m Money Portal bid

Mike Hughes, chief executive of adviser network Burns-Anderson (B-A), says it could have found the "right partner" after it was subject this morning to a £14.2m bid from The Money Portal.

Hughes says The Money Portal “shares the same values and ideals” as Burns-Anderson, whose shareholders now have 21 days to drum up 75% support for the deal. The Money Portal says both Hughes and finance director Peter Coleman will remain with the firm should the deal go ahead, adding B-A will keep its current business strategy, name and location.
