Admiral leads losses on falling FTSE

The FTSE fell 50.9 points, or 0.87%, to 5767.7p as Admiral Group continued its drop.

The insurer fell 157 points, or 15.67%, to 845p despite seeing profits rise 23% last year. Cable and Wireless fell 20.3 points, or 11.44%, to 157.1p over doubts the telecommunications company would meet sales targets. Kazakhmys rose 81 points, or 5.18%, to 1645p while Schroders rose 36 points, or 3.89%, to 962.5p. The Dow Jones fell 144.18 points, or 1.18%, to 12114.72c this as JPMorgan Chase led losses.
