Pensions Regulator publishes DB wind-up learning module

The Pensions Regulator has published an e-learning module to help trustees understand the winding-up process for defined benefit (DB) pension schemes.

The regulator has published the module, the first of three, to encourage speedy winding-up. The first instalment covers winding-up a DB scheme with a solvent employer. Further modules will cover winding-up a DB scheme with an insolvent employer and winding-up a defined contribution (DC) scheme. The regulator has launched the module on the same site as its free e-learning programme, Trustee Toolkit, but the module offers supplementary learning and does not form part of the trustee knowledge and understanding (TKU) requirements.
