Pensions minister Rosie Winterton submitted claims for "soundproofing" the bedroom of her London home and received thousands of pounds for gardening and decorating, latest Telegraph revelations reveal.
She also claimed expenses for gardening and decorating at her flat the paper says. The Telegraph report said the The Labour MP claimed £4690 for "soundproofing of bedroom wall and redecoration to bedroom, bathroom, living room, kitchen, staircase" in February 2007. The payment was reduced to £3800 by the fees office after it refused to pay for soundproofing with acoustic felt and "acoustic mineral wool slabs".
