Huntswood pushes head count

Outsourcing consultancy Huntswood sees itself taking on some 380 staff following the pilot of its new services to the financial services sector based in Glasgow.

David Brownlow, chief executive, says the proximity to customers and “large pool of talent” in terms of people with FPC qualifications and/or life business experience puts Glasgow in good stead. A £1.5m regional assistance grant has helped, Brownlow says. Expansion is expected to be fast, however, with the 25 people involved in the company’s pilot expanding by another 60 by January. The new employees will focus on Hunstwood’s four core business lines: compliance review work, consulting services, training, and operational auditing.
