Saffery Champness appoints new Guernsey director

Saffery Champness has continued to develop its offshore practice with the appointment of Ian Powell as a director in its Guernsey office.

Powell has been recruited to lead the expansion of the firm’s offshore fund services division, which provides a range of services to investment fund clients ranging from fund administration to company secretariat facilities. With almost 30 years of involvement in the mutual fund industry, Powell’s experience spans a broad range of asset classes, services and types of investment fund. He joins the firm of chartered accountants and registered fiduciaries from Kleinwort Benson, where he worked in a number of positions, latterly head of Channel Island corporate clients.
