Zurich rethinks distribution model

Zurich plans to realign its agency distribution model in Hong Kong in a drive to equip its agents with skills and long-term incentives to meet customers' and regulators' expectations.

The firm sees the creation of a new distribution model as a way to enable meeting its growth targets, according to a spokesperson. Martin Davis, chief executive, global life emerging markets at Zurich, said the current economic climate means customers' needs and expectations will change as well as the regulatory environment. "Against this background, it was essential that Zurich looked at its agency distribution model to ensure that it could meet these increased challenges."
