Skandia adds to list of US fund launches in UK

Skandia Investment Group (SIG) is poised to launch five US funds into the UK at a time of significant investment opportunities, according to the company.

The funds will be available via Royal Skandia’s offshore bond as well as direct investment, from 22 October and are currently awaiting FSA approval. Operated by Skandia Global Funds (SGF), SIG’s Dublin-based fund company, the five funds – previously only available through Skandia’s European, Far East and Latin American businesses – have already gathered assets of $800m (£462m) outside the UK.
