Global Investment House lists six new funds on buoyant Bahrain exchange

Kuwaiti investment company Global Investment House has listed six new funds on the burgeoning Bahrain Stock Exchange.

Global’s listing of six funds brings the total number of mutual funds on the exchange to 42. Fouad Rashid, director of the BSE, said the addition of the new funds reflects mutual funds’ significance as one of the most attractive alternative investment categories. The six funds are: • The US$84m Global Energy, Petrochemical and Downstream Industries fund, which capitalises on the region’s considerable strength within the energy sector. • The $51m Jordan fund, which invests in the Amman Stock Exchange and IPO and pre-IPO issues in Jordan.
