A Specialist Fund and Qualifying Fund have been approved by the Isle of Man's parliament, Tynwald.
The Specialist Fund category has been created for institutional and high net worth investors, with a minimum initial subscription of $100,000, and no further requirement for regulatory pre-approvals, allowing funds to be launched quickly. The Qualified Fund category replaces the existing Experienced Investor Funds. Following the approval, the island’s Financial Supervision Commission (FSC) will announce licensing arrangements for managers and asset managers.
