Zurich Bank International (ZBI) has launched the second issue of its US Dollar International Guaranteed Bond, offering a 100% capital guarantee. The three-year bond, with a return linked to the performance of an equally weighted basket of the Standard and Poor's 500 and the Nikkei 225 indices, has the potential of an early pay out of 25% after two years. Mark Waterhouse, head of banking at ZBI, said if the average of the two baskets grew by 25% or more after two years, the customer would get back 100% of the capital plus a 25% return.
