The Royal Bank of Scotland is reducing its standard variable mortgage from 6.4% to 6.35%. The change will take effect for new and existing borrowers from 1 November 2001. All other variable rate mortgages, including Flexible Choice 100% mortgages and discount rate products will be cut by 0.25%. Contact: 0131 5568555
