Wall Street's bullish spree continues for a second day while the FTSE was mixed earlier and closed 5 points higher to5,323.8. US investors are turning to more aggressive stocks such as tech stocks and retailers at the detriment of defensive stocks such as tobacco. The Nasdaq gained 9.4 to 2,053.70 and the Dow Jones was up by 63.5 points to 10,235.59 points. Brokerage shares climbed after Prudential analyst raise profit expectations on the sector, Merill Lynch gained $2.59 to $56.25 while Goldman Sachs added $3.19 to $95.64 and Morgan Stanley rose $1.80 to $61.40.
