There were 64 nominees going for 11 awards in this year's Investment Week investment trust awards. A mixture of quants and qualitative judging was used to come up with the final shortlist and the winners. The panel ran an initial quants screen to draw up its shortlist for the awards categories. Using NAV rather than share price information up to 31 July 2000, the bottom 50% of trusts in each AITC sector over the 12 months to 31 July were stripped out.
