The saga of Independent Insurance continues as this morning's nationals report that the cash-strapped construction industry could face a crippling blow from the collapse of the company. The Guardian reports that thousands of personal injury claims going back several years could be affected. The Construction Confederation, which represents businesses carrying out 75% of all building projects carried out in the country, was last night trying to assess the extent of the damage after concerns were raised by its members.
