The number of women dying from heart disease is set to rise over the coming years, according to a recent study. Researchers analysed deaths in England and Wales between 1931 and 2005 and found the fall in death rates among women under the age of 50 seemed to be slowing. The results of the research published in the journal BMC Public Health revealed coronary heart disease rates continued to drop in older age groups but the burden of the disease is increasing due to an ageing population.
