The use of direct mail by insurers has risen once again, according to figures released by Royal Mail. Compared to the same period from the year before, the number of direct mailings between January and March 2008, showed an increase of 3.4%. Royal Mail attributes the growth to ongoing product launches and services as companies attempt to drive sales and boost customer retention, alongside the continuing importance of keeping customers informed about claims and changes to their policies.
