It’s been a busy month for regulation as July marked a year since Consumer Duty was implemented and saw further Sustainability Disclosure Requirements (SDR) updates, all on top of a general election.

Policy watch… This month saw Islington-based advice firm Donre Advisory enter liquidation after the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) imposed regulations on it. Donre Advisory was not the only firm caught out by the regulator in July. London Court entered creditors' voluntary liquidation on 23 July following the imposition of regulatory restrictions around a year ago. Meanwhile, the FCA's British Steel pension scheme redress scheme paid out far less than expected.
