Winter studied economics at university, which he said gave him a strong grounding in finance and money. After that, he landed a place on the Coutts graduate scheme. "Starting on the Coutts graduate scheme was another tremendous grounding, exposing me to all the different services in finance," he told PA. "I did placements in mortgages, discretionary investments, pensions, protection, and also experienced the level of service being delivered." Winter said that that the exposure he got to the different areas of finance helped him see that financial planning was what he enjoyed the most....
