Butterfield Bank (Bahamas) has appointed Ian Fair as its vice chairman.
Reporting to Graham Brooks, executive vice president, international, Fair will help the group expand its international private banking and wealth management business. Fair has been involved in offshore trust and private banking for over 40 years and has worked in the Bahamas for the last 37 years. Before joining Butterfield Bank, he worked for National Westminster Bank, and then in the Bahamas at Scotiatrust and Deltec Panamerica. He was principal for 16 years in MeesPierson’s Bahamas operation.
