The group, with either onshore or offshore funds, that in the opinion of the judges provides the best all-round portfolio performance with best overall service proposition to customers and consumers.
Fidelity did well in the Offshore awards in 2005 and has continued the trend in 2006. A sound investment proposition, the ability to generate good returns across a broad range of asset classes, coupled with its client support, seminar programme and online proposition all made it a worthy winner.
Despite its size the judges felt it was able to move swiftly to ensure fund performance was kept up to scratch and was not prepared to sit back and allow brand to be a substitute for decent returns.
The result was that it gained two awards and one highly commended entry from the three investment categories, a haul that reflected its strength in depth as a product provider.
