He was jointly in charge of a further 90 portfolios, totalling around £35m. At ISIS, Caddick will assist in the management of the four multi-manager portfolios alongside Richard Philbin, associate director, fund of funds, and Patrick Blessing, analyst, fund of funds.

Investec Trust has appointed Richard Williams as in-house solicitor of its international trust group. He will work across Investec Trust's companies in Jersey, Guernsey, Geneva and Mauritius. Williams joined Investec Trust from Lawrence Graham, a private client firm, and was formerly an associate at the Cayman Islands law firm, Maples and Calder. He is a member of the Council of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners, chairing their Student Liaison Committee and with involvement in their disciplinary panel.

Anglo Irish Bank Corporation (IoM) has announced changes to its executive management board, following a closer realignment of its wealth management and trust divisions.
Stewart Davies becomes chief executive officer with special responsibility for client interface and business development, with
Michael McGee becomes general manager, tasked with overseeing combined operations of the two divisions. Fellow executive board members have been appointed from both Anglo Irish's trust and wealth management divisions.
Anglo Irish Bank will be relocating its Manx operation to new offices in the Island's capital, Douglas, later this year.

Fiduciary Trust Company International, part of Franklin Templeton Investments, has appointed Jeffrey M. Applegate as chief investment officer.
Applegate, 53, succeeds Jeremy H. Biggs, who served Fiduciary Trust as CIO since 1978. Biggs, 68, will remain with the company as a vice-chairman and continue to manage key relationships.
As chief investment officer, Applegate will be responsible for providing overall investment direction for Fiduciary Trust, including the firm's institutional and high net worth businesses. He will chair Fiduciary's Global Investment Committee and Investment Policy Committee and will join the Management Committee as well. He will report to William Y. Yun, president of Fiduciary Trust.
He has spent the past thirty years with institutions on Wall Street. Most recently, he led Jeffrey Applegate & Company, an independent research firm that provided financial services institutions with analysis of U.S. asset class returns and allocation, the impact of government economic policy on financial markets, forecasts of Federal Reserve Board policy, S&P 500 EPS estimates, and financial and real economy leverage analysis.

State Street Corporation has appointed Jim Clark as director of sales and marketing for State Street in Luxembourg. Clark joined State Street from International Financial Data Services (IFDS), where he served as director of European business development based in Luxembourg. As a result, IFDS has named Steve Sheppard as managing director of its Luxembourg operations.
IFDS is a joint venture between State Street and DST Systems, a Kansas City-based design, development and operation of proprietary shareholder accounting software systems.
Clark will lead business development efforts for State Street's transfer agency and fund administration services in Luxembourg and build upon revenue growth across all product lines.
State Street Corporation has $9.4 trillion in assets under custody and $1.1 trillion in assets under management, State Street operates in 24 countries and more than 100 markets worldwide.

Legg Mason Funds Management said Michael Mauboussin has joined the firm as senior vice president and chief investment strategist. Mauboussin most recently served as managing director and chief US investment strategist at Credit Suisse First Boston Corporation.
He is best known for his academic research in finance, psychology and decision theory to investment strategy, Legg Mason said.
Mauboussin co-authored Expectations Investing: Reading Stock Prices for Better Returns, published by Harvard Business School Press. He is also an adjunct professor of finance at Columbia Graduate School of Business and has been for the past eleven years.

Michelle Chen has resigned as a partner on sales with Momentum Asia and has joined fund of hedge funds boutique Infiniti Capital.
She will be responsible for developing institutional business in Taiwan and mainland China, working with Richard Johnson, who heads Infiniti's Hong Kong sales office. For Infiniti Capital, Michelle will develop institutional business and will be promoting the group's premium wealth management service in the Greater China region.

He was previously a senior fund manager at Friends Ivory & Sime Asia, where he worked for eight years. There, he focused on Korea and Greater China. In his new role, Lee will focus on Korean stocks. He will also be a member of the Technology Global Sector Team.

Threadneedle Investments has appointed Lorin Gresser as head of alternative investment business, reporting to David Sachon, head of distribution. Gresser joined Threadneedle in 2000 and was previously head of strategy.
Sachon said: "Our Alternative Investment Business has become extremely important both in terms of gathering assets and growing profits. We now have well over $1bn in hedge funds. We have plans to launch new products as our existing funds are either closed or near to closing."
Threadneedle said that David Gasparro has been appointed as head of retail. He will report to David Sachon, head of distribution, and will take over responsibility for the co-ordination of retail strategy in the UK and European markets.
Sachon said: "Last year, despite volatile markets and the sale of our business [to Amex from Zurich], our gross sales grew by 40%. We launched new businesses in France and Switzerland, which have beaten targets, we launched a new hedge fund and our brand share of UK IFA sales rose 18%. However, my management team has changed little in the last few years."Gasparro was previously head of investment products at Schroders.

The Platinum Group, an international financial and investment group, said Mark Tansley has been appointed managing director of Platinum Capital Management (Africa & Middle East) FZE in Dubai, which was recently established in the UAE.
Tansley was director of sales for Scottish Provident International Life Assurance, part of the Abbey National Group, based in Dubai for the past 12 years. He also has previous experience with Allied Dunbar and Norwich Union.
He will service institutional and retail IFA networks. Platinum manages, develops and distributes structured products and funds of hedge funds, provides private wealth management services and acts as an international distribution partner for hedge fund managers.

Mellon Financial Corporation has appointed Robert Treich to the newly created position of head of investment research in its Human Resources & Investor Solutions division.
In this role, he will report to Paul Black, head of investment consulting, and will be responsible for research into fund managers and strategic investment allocation.
Treich, a Chartered Financial Analyst, joined Mellon from Banco Comercial Portugues and has also worked as head of the smaller companies team at Pictet Asset Management.
Black said the creation of the position signalled Mellon"s ambition to grow its investment consulting offering by creating a dedicated investment research team. The team is expected to be six-strong by September.
Three other team members have recently joined, including Matthew Trueblood, from Lazards, as senior investment consultant and Leo George and Susan Murphy as investment analysts from Mercer and Aon Consulting, respectively.
