At just 29, Alex Johnston is poised to take over MDM Wealth, buying one-third of the business this year, and the remainder over the next two years. That would be a feat in itself, but Johnston's path to becoming a financial has been an eclectic one, redefining what it means to be a ‘self-starter'.  On leaving school, he had no plans to become a financial adviser or indeed to pursue any kind of office job.
