Investors looking for income from equities have a wide variety of funds to consider over and above the traditional starting point of the UK Equity Income sector, says Gill Hutchison

Ultra-low interest rates around the world have spurred a search for income that has extended investors' risk exposures - both down the market capitalisation scale and across to overseas markets that would not previously have been considered, or indeed been available.
