'Must take ownership', says LGIM multi-asset fund manager

Justin Onuekwusi, lead manager on the Legal & General Investment Management (LGIM) range of multi-index funds which were launched for him in August 2013, explains why young managers need to take responsibility and ownership in order to succeed in the industry.

Hard work has formed the bedrock of Legal & General Investment Management (LGIM) manager Justin Onuekwusi's career so far, with this being rewarded in his current role as lead manager of eight funds at the age of 34. He may have studied economics at Warwick University, but the manager (pictured) believes hard work, listening to those around you, and taking responsibility for your actions are more useful skills in his day-to-day job.
