Tweaking the rules: FOS complaints sourcebook changes

Pensions freedom has brought a sea change to retirement planning and regulation. Aileen Lynch assesses the latest freedom and choice-related tweaks to the FOS complaints sourcebook

Amid the furore surrounding the introduction of pension freedom, the Financial Ombudsman Service has made amendments to its rules. Tweaks have been made to its Dispute Resolution: Complaints Sourcebook (DISP), relating to 'compulsory jurisdiction' and 'voluntary jurisdiction' (advising on conversion or transfer of pension benefits). These changes were made without consultation and are effective immediately.   What's changed?
