UK Equity Income is one of the most popular IMA sectors, ranking third after the UK All Companies and Global sectors, with almost £60bn in funds under management. Funds in the sector have been investors' favourite vehicles in their search for yield, and this has recently strengthened, with a UK economic recovery proving to be more robust than neighbouring countries. The sector achieved record net retail sales of £1.4bn in June, according to the IMA's latest statistics. To be included in the sector, funds need to yield 110% more than the FTSE All Share over three-year rolling period...
