Free to diversify across a variety of countries showing signs of economic improvement, Ken Rayner, investment director at Rayner Spencer Mills, highlights his fund picks from the Global sector.

The IMA defines global funds as those which invest at least 80% of their assets globally in equities. They must be diversified by geographic region. The sector is, therefore, made up of funds which invest on the basis of geographical diversification. It will also include funds focusing on a particular industry, as long as they are globally diversified. Global funds allow an investor to gain worldwide equity exposure, managed at both a strategic and tactical level.
