The big move of the week saw Schroders - with the ink still wet on star manager Richard Buxton's resignation letter - appoint Philip Matthews from Jupiter and Alex Breese from Neptune. Matthews will run the Schroder UK Alpha Plus fund. Elsewhere, Alliance Trust Savings created two new roles within its platform team. Sara Wilson, who joins from Standard Life, has been appointed head of platform proposition, while Graham Cassidy has been recruited as intermediary marketing manager.
