Nick Cann's builders' bum - an image the CEO of the Institute of Financial Planning forces on an unsuspecting listener in the first couple of minutes of his maiden stand up routine in London last week.

Cann had received a two-day stand up comedy course for a Christmas present last year. Now his live effort - delivered last Sunday at a comedy night in Covent Garden - has been uploaded to Youtube. It's a cracking effort too, full of laughs, home truths and things-kids-say, although he can't help but hint at the day job when he starts talking about the "financials" of gym membership.
