In deciding the case of Radmacher and Granatino last week, the Supreme Court established the criteria that English and Wales courts will use to determine whether disputed prenuptial agreements will be approved and upheld by them or not. Katrin Radmacher and Nicolas Granatino reached and signed an agreement before marrying in 1998, only to separate in 2006. Ms Radmacher believed their prenuptial agreement should be binding, while Mr Granatino wanted to have it set aside.  The Supreme Court has now ordered that the original prenuptial agreement be upheld.
