Hartey set up Applewood Wealth Management in 1992. With two offices in Shropshire and Chester, the firm consists of a team of 18. The company has four paraplanners supporting two advisers who, in turn, serve 573 clients. Hartey has written a book titled Consider, Decide, Act, runs a company called Dream Team Coaching which specialises in business tuition, and is also member of the Million Dollar Round Table in the US.
