What have you done today to make you feel proud? Not such a weird question as it sounds. People in financial services are dealing with individuals' future, calming their worries, offering opportunities. The complete cynic might say we do what we do just for the cheque, the buzz, the status, but then it's only the saddest of people who never ask why they are doing something. If we start from this place, it's probably easier to see why the FSA has four over-riding objectives – protecting consumers, maintain market confidence, reducing financial crime and increasing consumer awareness.
