Yorshire Guernsey has launched a two-year fixed rate bond that offers a rate of 4.85% gross per annum, fixed until 31 May 2006. Interest on the account will be paid annually. The minimum investment is £5,000 and additional deposits can be made while the bond is still available to new investors. Peter Symes, managing director of Yorshire Guernsey, said: "The bond is a limited issue and may quickly become fully subscribed. It will appeal to investors seeking the security of a guaranteed competitive interest rate and we believe it has the potential to reach the top of its peer group."
